Hayden S. Smith, PA-C

Hayden’s passion for orthopedic medicine began with his participation in athletics growing up, and later, playing college baseball. After experiencing multiple injuries of his own, he gained a better understanding of the patient’s perspective and the influential role an orthopedic team has on patients and their loved ones. Hayden is a compassionate individual that enjoys building relationships with patients and working alongside them as a teammate during their journey to healing.

Hayden received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Hope College. During this time, he gained hands-on experience working as a patient care assistant in a skilled nursing facility and Holland Hospital Emergency Department. Hayden earned his master’s in physician assistant studies at Marquette University and completed his orthopedic surgery clinical rotation at Shoreline Orthopaedics. He has been certified as a physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

As a native to West Michigan, Hayden is excited to return to the area after gaining experience as a PA in Denver, Colorado in orthopedic surgery and home health. He enjoys running, skiing, golfing, and spending time embracing the outdoors with family and friends.
